Summary
Welcome to our third issue of BR Times, the history periodical dedicated to students and enthusiasts of the British Rail (BR) era.
Amongst the variety of topics covered are chapters on: Blyth Cambois Diesel Depot, Edinburgh to Glasgow Class 47/7s, Class 08 withdrawals, Merry-Go-Round workings and the West of England route’s passenger services. Additional contributions come from a range of professionals and enthusiasts. Steve Knight looks at freight locomotives rescuing passenger services, Tom Connell lets us in on the inside story of his award winning EWS logo design, Adrian Paul depicts Horsham as a rail Centre in the 1980s, David Hunter brings us part 2 of his analysis of electric services over Shap and Howard Gibblett serves up a fascinating recount of his time at Cardiff Cathays wagon works.
We also pay tribute to two railway enthusiasts through sharing some of the pictures taken by John Doggett and Andy Hoare.

Delivery
We aim to dispatch orders received before 15:00 on the same day. At busy times this cannot be guaranteed.
Once your order has been shipped you will receive an e-mail with further information. Delivery timeframes vary depending on your location.
Currently we utilise Royal Mail Tracked 48 for most deliveries.
For larger orders or bulky items, we use Parcelforce 48 or 24, tracked parcel service.
Orders may then be tracked via the Royal Mail or Parcelforce website.
Our minimum postage charge is £5.00 and will apply to most orders.
We offer free delivery or certain newly released locomotives - this is stated in the item description.
The charge applicable to your order will be advised at the checkout stage, before you place your order.
Returns
Customers have a right to cancel their order from the date of the contract and up to 14 days, starting from the day after they receive the goods. Goods must then be returned to us within 14 days of notification.
Money received will be returned within 30 days of the cancellation. The consumer will have to pay the cost of returning the goods.
Goods must be returned in an as new and saleable condition. Damage to the item or packaging will prevent a refund.
